If I see one more person bitch and moan about how writers “need to stop giving writers advice” I’m going to scream. I’m going to tell them:

Yes, because writing should be done nebulously, that it should be good or not written at all. Because either you know how to do it or you don’t, it can’t be taught like a skill, like drawing, cooking, or how to shoot a gun.

Especially on websites/facebook pages like Poets & Writers, The Academy of Poetry, or the Michener Center for Creative Writing which offer classes on writing–because God, they’re just there to drop to your feet and tell you how fucking perfect your work is and that you don’t need advice, feedback or even a comma there–

your writing is just as perfect as the special little snowflake you are.
